How to get it

Three steps, one phone call

1

Get approved and e-sign

Nothing moves until the agreement is signed. Finish the application and the verification call early in the day to leave room before 6 PM CT.

2

Tell Crane Finance you want same-day

Call 855-432-7654 or reply to the agreement email: "Please fund by same-day method." A representative may ask for extra details to confirm your bank is on a compatible wire or debit-card system.

3

Watch for the deposit, not the email

The $5 is added to payment 1. If the deposit slips past today for reasons outside Crane's control, the disbursement date moves and the fee is dropped.

What can slow it down

The six delays Crane Finance lists itself

Bank not on a compatible railSame-day needs your bank in Crane's wire or debit-card network. Smaller credit unions sometimes aren't.
Bank holidaysFederal Reserve holidays stop wires. The next business day applies.
Your bank's own processingSome banks post incoming wires in batches; "same day" can mean late afternoon.
Late pay stubsIf verification needs a pay stub and it arrives after cutoff, funding waits.
Processing errorsA mistyped routing or account number is the most common self-inflicted delay — check twice.
Force majeureThe terms also cite "acts of God" and "acts of terror" — rare, but listed.
If it's late, you don't pay the $5. Crane Finance's own page: the disbursement date moves to when the funds actually arrive, and the fee isn't charged. Crane isn't responsible for any fee your bank charges to receive a wire.

Worth $5?

When same-day pays for itself — and when it doesn't

Yes — pay the $5

  • A utility disconnect or towing fee is due today
  • A bounced-check or overdraft fee ($30+) would hit tonight
  • You're approved before noon and your bank is a large national bank
  • Travel or a prescription can't wait until tomorrow

No — take free next-day

  • Approved after 4 PM CT anyway (you'd only gain hours, maybe none)
  • It's Friday evening — nothing moves until Monday regardless
  • The bill is due in 2+ days
  • You're already stretching to make payment 1 — don't add to it
