Crane Finance requirements: four things, and no FICO® minimum
Crane Finance decides on income and identity, not a credit score. Tick the four boxes below and you can apply; the amount you're approved for comes from what's in your application.
A consistent source of income for the past 90 days
Employment, self-employment, or regular benefit deposits. Crane Finance may ask for pay stubs or confirm it with a short phone call. There's no published minimum dollar figure.
Pay stubs, direct deposit, benefitsIncome that started last week18 or older, and a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
Identity is checked against national databases during the application, so your name, date of birth and address need to match your ID and bank records.
Citizen or green-card holderVisa-only status, under 18A valid checking account in your name
Funds are deposited to it and payments are debited from it on your pay dates. The account must be open, in good standing and in your own name — not a prepaid card or someone else's account.
Personal checking accountSavings-only, prepaid, joint-in-other-nameA working email address and phone number
Verification and your loan agreement arrive by email; a representative may call to confirm details. A work number is requested if you have one.

"No credit check" is almost true
Crane Finance says it "does not utilize traditional credit bureaus in the same manner employed by other lenders." Instead it runs your application through Clarity Services, DataX and FactorTrust — databases that track short-term loans, bank-account history and prior defaults with online lenders. It also reserves the right to pull your credit to confirm ability to repay. So a low FICO® score won't stop you, but an unpaid loan with another online lender might.
Usually gets approved
- Steady deposits for 3+ months, even at a modest amount
- Bad or thin credit with no open payday-loan defaults
- Past bankruptcy that's been discharged
- Prior Crane Finance loan repaid on time (returning customers skip the call — see VIP)
Usually gets declined
- Unpaid balance with another online or tribal lender in Clarity/FactorTrust
- Recent NSF returns on the checking account
- Income that can't be verified (cash only, no deposits)
- Address in a state the Tribe doesn't accept — eligibility is confirmed mid-application (state guide)
